Cloning a Strategy

Cloning a strategy makes a copy of a strategy (all of its groups). The new strategy becomes a selection in the Option Chart menu, and a line representing the strategy is added to the chart (notice that the performance line in the option chart changes color; there are actually two lines there, but you cannot see the first because the second is its twin). Use strategy cloning to what-if changes in the positions that make up the strategy, volatility skew versus implied volatility, and other parameters. When you clone a strategy, your original strategy remains in tact. By changing parameters in the second group, you get a comparative view of actual performance and hypothetical performance.

To clone a strategy, follow these steps:

1. Display the strategy menu for the strategy you want to clone.

2. Select Clone Strategy.
