Application Menus

Every window type (news, quote, price volume, time & sales, account watch, etc.) has certain operations associated with it. You can access these operations through application menus.

Application menus enable you to complete the unique tasks associated with each feature. For example, if you are working in a quote window, you can rearrange prices, but you cannot adjust bar types. Based on the type of window you are working on, the program knows what tasks you can do. The reason it knows is that no matter how many windows are on your screen, one of the windows is active (For more information on the active window, please read The Active Window.) When you press the ` key, the application menu for the active window is displayed. Remember that the active windows type determines which application menu gets displayed when you press the ` key.
