Autoread Selection, News Menu

The Autoread news feature enables you to display the most current news story without having to display a list of headlines. The Auto Read news feature automatically displays the text of the most current news story. When a more current news stories come in, the text of that story automatically replaces the text of the older news story. There is no need to return to the list of headlines to find the most current news headline.

The Auto Read news feature is a toggle. When it is off, story display is accomplished via headline selection. When it is on, the text of the most current news headline is displayed. You set the toggle using Autoread selection in the News menu.

In Autoread mode, you are not limited to viewing only the current news story. Pressing <Enter> or clicking the left mouse key displays the list of headlines in the current news index or query; however, you cannot select a news headline in Autoread mode. Pressing <Enter> or clicking the left mouse key returns you to the most recent news story.
