Saving Windows

You can save the windows you create in the Window Selection Menu. The command for saving the active window is WSAVE. When you enter the WSAVE commands, the Save Window As: prompt is displayed.

The .WSAVE command stores the active window in the Window Selection Menu. A windows position on the screen, dimensions, and instruments you have entered into it get saved with the window.

If you are going to use a particular window often, it is useful to save that window and then choose it from the Window Selection Menu when you need it. For example, if you intend to create a page containing 10 charts, each the same size, you could create one chart of that size and save it with WSAVE. Thereafter, this chart can be selected from the chart window menu and moved to the correct position rather than selecting the default chart window and re-sizing it each time.
