The Top Line

The top line of the Code Menu displays the definition of the code you highlight. In the example above, the TICVOL7 quote code is highlighted, so the top line reads, “Tick Volume Seven Trades Ago.” As you move the pointer from code selection to code selection, the top line changes to give you the definition of the highlighted code. In the following figure, the highlighted code is the SYMB code, so the top line reads “Instrument symbol (Base, or Root, and Extension).”

The top line is rendered in green to let you know that the definition relates to the highlighted menu selection.
