Below each heading is a list of available windows. For each window type, there is a Default window. A default window is a blank window of a particular type. Because default windows are empty, you use them to create a window from scratch. You use a default quote window to create custom quote window layouts, a default chart window to create charts with the studies and bar types you need, and so on.
In addition to the default windows, you may see one or more additional window names under each heading. If you are just starting the program, these are the
pre-defined windows that come with the program to help you get started. These are windows that have been edited and saved. The ability to save windows enables you to create a window and use it over and over. This is particularly useful when you begin creating Pages. (For more information on pages, please read Pages.)You can save windows of your own creation in the Window Selection Menu by using the .WSAVE command. For more information on the .WSAVE command, please read
Saving Windows.
