Data retrieval serves two purposes:
Retrieving historical data on an instrument,
Fixing bad ticks, gaps, stock splits, or other problems on your server (or Personal Edition software).
Data Retrieval is initiated in a chart window by clicking on the Refresh
Data button 
in the tool bar.
The process initiated by clicking the Refresh Data button depends on the operative data feed. On Interactive Data Real-Time Services and DTN, clicking on the Refresh Data button initiates a call to the Aspen central database. On Reuters and MoneyLine, clicking on the Refresh Data button initiates a call to the Reuters or Moneyline central database, respectively. Note also that Personal Edition software is available only on Interactive Data Real-Time Services and DTN.
