Bad Ticks that Come Down on Weekends

Occasionally you will get a bad tick that comes down on a weekend. There are two methods for correcting this type of bad tick.

The easiest method to fix bad ticks that come down on a Saturday or Sunday is to hide them. You can hide a bad weekend tick by changing the weekend date to a holiday.

Exchanges sometimes broadcast bad prices after or before the normal trading hours for an instrument. Such prices are placed on either the first or the last bar and will seem un-correctable on a bar chart. To correct such ticks, find the tick on time & sales and correct it there. Alternatively, you can display the bad tick using the .HOURS 24 command on intraday (15 minute) and daily charts. Changing the time scale to show all the hours enables you to see where the tick is so you can delete it.
