Changing the Time Scale

The f key is used to expand a chart's time scale. Expanding a chart allows you to enlarge the space between bars, and therefore look in more detail at a particular section of a chart. The m key is used to compress a chart's time scale. Compressing a chart will add more bars to the chart, allowing you to look at data covering a longer time span. These and other time scaling functions are available in the Chart Rescale menu:

Normally when a chart is drawn the right-most bar reflects the most current price. The program allows you to shift the time frame of charts in order to view older data or to place time periods that have not yet occurred within the window for the purpose of making projections.

You can shift the time scale of a chart with the mouse or with the keyboard.
