Gainers, Losers, and Highest Volume Charts

The program enables you to use a chart to display the greatest percent gainers, the greatest percent losers, or the instruments that have posted the highest volume. These three statistical breakdowns are available only on an exchange basis. By default, these analyses display the top twenty qualifying instruments. Therefore, you should use a delimiter to display these analyses in a chart.

The terms gainers and losers refer to the percent change from yesterdays close, i.e., pchg=((last-previous)/previous)100 or pchg=(net/previous)100.

Before you can display any of these types of statistical breakdowns in a chart, you must display the exchange filter, and, for each exchange you want to analyze in this manner, you must set the Stat field to On.

Charts containing gainers, losers, or highest volume instruments are multiple instrument charts; if the instruments trade out of range of one another, you can use percent change and logarithmic scaling for different perspectives.

These analyses are available on a day-by-day basis. What you see is only valid on the day you display it. For best results, use these analyses after market hours.
