Reversal

You must also choose a reversal amount. A reversal is the number of box sizes necessary to reverse a trend. Shifting from Xs to Os is called a reversal. You must decide how far prices must move against the prevailing trend before shifting to a new column and plotting the other symbol. For example, if you use a 2-box-size reversal and prices moves against an established trend by an amount equivalent to your reversal, the program starts a new column and shifts symbols.
