Show Keys (On-screen Key Menu)

The showkeys feature displays your custom keyboard commands in a menu across the bottom of your screen.

To display the showkeys line, type in the .SHOWKEYS command and press b. When the showkeys line is first displayed, it covers the bottom of your existing page. Pages called up after the showkeys line is on the screen will be adjusted.

The function key, ¡ through º, assignments are the default display. The q, v, and a function key settings will be displayed when you press the respective key. For example, to display the q + ¡ to q + º settings, press the q key.

To remove the showkeys menu, type in .SHOWKEYS and press b.

Because the showkeys command is a toggle, it can be placed on a function key (a + K by default) so you can display and remove the Showkeys line instantly.
