The Alarms Menu

The program enables you to monitor an almost unlimited number of symbols for conditions you define. Once you have defined alarm conditions, the program alerts you when the defined conditions are met. Conditions can be simple price levels (IBM>104), times (TIME==13:00), or dates (DATE==12/1/94), or they can be complex formulas comparing multiple criteria for multiple symbols.

The Alarms menu enables you to set up and change alarms. To display the Alarms menu, either select Alarms from the Main Menu or enter the .ALARM command.

The Alarms menu displays all of the currently defined alarms. Initially, the Alarms menu will be empty. In the example above, there are three defined alarms numbered 1 through 3. In this menu, the comments to the right of each alarm explain what should be done when an alarm goes off.

In addition to defined alarms, the Alarms menu contains two selections:

Add Alarm Displays the Alarm setup window.

Done Returns you to the last active window.
