Volume and open interest studies are available only on daily and weekly time bases.

Volume and open interest studies are useful in forecasting price activity. Some general principles for using volume and open interest studies include:

images/aspen00090000.gif Open interest studies must be adjusted seasonally.

images/aspen00090000.gif Increases in volume and open interest suggest a continuation of a price trend.
