Server Command-line Options for using TCP/IP and/or IPX

Two new command line parameters are available for servers: “ip” and “ipx”. If neither is given, the server defaults to using IPX only. Otherwise, specify the network protocols for which support is to be activated, as in the following examples:

AGVxx ... ip Attempts to use TCP/IP protocols only.

AGVxx ... ipx Attempts to use MCP/IPX protocols only.

AGVxx ... ip ipx Attempts to use TCP/IP and MCP/IPX protocols.

Network transport software for whichever protocols are specified must be installed and operational at the time the server software is executed.

This completes the installation and configuration instructions for all network software required to support an AspeNet Server. If you need additional information or examples regarding system configuration, please see the section titled, TCP/IP and MCP/IPX Configuration Reference .
