Book Menu Views

You can display the book menu in a variety of views. Each view is designed to give you a perspective necessary for options portfolio evaluation. The views available to you are:

Minimized

Maximized

P&L Total

P&L Today

By default the book menu is displayed in minimized P&L Total view. P&L Total view is capable of being displayed in two perspectives: minimized and maximized. P&L Today is available in only a minimized view.

The following table summarizes the fields in the Book menu; the table’s View field indicates in which views, or modes, the field is available:

Field	Function	View Mode
Enable	Indicates whether a strategy is active. An active strategy is included in the book’s P&L calculation. The enable field has no heading. The value for all strategy’s is an asterisk (*). Toggling the asterisk deactivates the strategy, rendering the strategy gray and suppressing it from the book’s P&L calculation. A deactivated strategy will be ignored when applying its book to options charts, quote pages, and other books.	all
Strategy	Lists the names of the defined strategies in the book.	all
Drag & Drop (caret)	Enables you to create a drag-and-drop window consisting of all the transactions in the respective strategy.	all
P&L	Indicates the current profit and loss of the respective strategy. In the Book menu, profit and loss is the sum of the current profit and loss of all open trades and the realized profit and loss of all closed trades. By default, total profit and loss is displayed. If you change the view to daily profit and loss, the value changes accordingly. In maximized view, total profit and loss is broken out into its two components. This field contains profit and loss of open trades. The Real field displays the realized profit and loss.	all
Real	Indicates the realized profit and loss of all closed trades in the respective strategy.	maximized
Comm	Displays the total commission charges of all transactions in the respective strategy.	maximized
