Defining a Book

To define a book, select New Book from the Option Books menu. Selecting New Book displays the New Book prompt:

When the New Book prompt appears, name the book you want to create. When you finish naming the book you want to create, press b. Pressing b creates a book, gives it the name you typed, and displays the Book menu for the new book. Before we start discussing how to build positions and strategies using option books, let’s first take a look at the menus that make up the Book feature. The Book feature consists of several menus, all of which cascade, or layer themselves across your screen.
