Software Required for TCP/IP

AspeNet servers require Novell's TCP/IP Transport for DOS in order to send and receive information using TCP/IP protocols. Both 16-bit and 32-bit versions of Novell's TCP/IP transport software are available for use on DOS-based systems. Either version works. No other vendor's TCP/IP protocol stacks are supported. AspeNet Server software has been optimized for use with the Novell products.

Novell's 16-bit TCP/IP Transport for DOS is shipped as an integral part of many Novell products. It may also be obtained via download. The 16-bit protocol stack is implemented by a single executable module named TCPIP.EXE.

The 32-bit transport software may be obtained by download as part of Novell's Client 32 for DOS/Windows, provided you already have a license for a Novell Server product. The 32-bit protocol stack is implemented using a Netware Loadable Module (NLM) named TCPIP.NLM.

Either implementation requires installation of additional supporting modules at the AspeNet server.
