The Option Chart Menu

An option charts application menu is the Option Chart menu. The selections on the Option Chart menu pertain only to the active option chart window. The selections in the Option Chart menu are used for two purposes:

1. Displaying information

2. What-If analysis

The number of the selections in the Option Chart menu depends on the number of strategies you have created. When you display a default option chart window, no strategies exist, so the menu contains eight selections, as shown in the figure above. As you create strategies, the strategies become selections in this menu. The strategies you create are displayed as menu selections located between the New Strategy selection and the menu title.

The number of Strategy selections corresponds to the number of strategies you have created. Selecting a Strategy selection loads the strategy and displays the Strategy menu.
New Strategy

The first step in defining an option position is to select New Strategy. This creates a new strategy and displays the Strategy Menu. The Strategy Menu enables you to define a group, which is the second step in defining an options position.
